Required Qualifications and Education: Master’s Degree in a pertinent discipline and certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). A candidate with evidence of post-secondary teaching experience, evidence of or potential towards scholarly contributions and service is desired. Sufficient health care expertise to teach HIM courses, such as: HIM 302 Health Care Law, HIM 304 Advanced Medical Terms of Disease, HIM 311 CPT/HCPCS Coding, HIM 364 Financial Reimbursement, and HIM 366 Health Information Data Systems & Stats.
Preferred Qualifications and Education: Earned doctorate in a discipline area pertinent to the department, doctoral degree enrollment, or willingness to pursue a doctoral degree. Evidence of experience in hybrid online teaching.

- Teaching in the Allied Health Sciences department in the Health Information Management Program.
- Scholarly contributions to the fields of Health Sciences
- Service contributions to the department, the College of Health Professions, Grand Valley State University, and the community
Salary: Commensurate with experience and degree

Campus: Pew Campus of Grand Valley State University. The program is housed at 515 Michigan NE, two blocks east of the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, located in Downtown Grand Rapids.
