Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's or PhD degree in Applied Economics, or a Master's in Business Administration (or equivalent) with an emphasis in Economics. The candidate must also have substantial, relevant, recent professional work experience. Affiliate (Clinical) Faculty must continue professional activities necessary to maintain faculty status under college accreditation requirements. Candidates must also have a demonstrated ability to teach effectively and must be committed to GVSU's vision of inclusion and equity.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated experience teaching Economics, shown a significant level of engagement with the business community, and/or worked in economic development.
Responsibilities - Essential Functions: Affiliate (Clinical) Faculty are expected to provide effective teaching, conduct scholarship, and engage in service to the university and community at a level commensurate with their rank and college accreditation requirements. The normal teaching load is 24 credit hours per academic year with a possible three (3) credit release for AACSB required research and service responsibilities.

The College: The L. William Seidman Center opened in 2013 and houses the Seidman College of Business which is fully accredited by AACSB International. Enrollment in Seidman is over 4,000 students and 90 full-time faculty. The Economics Department consists of thirteen full-time faculty members. (www.gvsu.edu/economics/).
