Seeking a positive problem solver who is organized, creative, and self-motivated to work as the Administrative Services Assistant in the College of Education. Position requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, professional work environment as well as the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. A high attention to detail and accuracy is essential; along with possession of outstanding written and verbal communication skills. This is a temporary position (5 months in duration). 

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to create flyers and other documents including photo editing, graphics, and design layout
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop reports
  • Experience using a content management system to edit webpages
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Work experience in a university setting
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Access
  • Proficiency creating fillable forms using Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience using Banner and OnBase
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, C# preferred
  • Experience with accreditation
  • Experience with LiveText
  • Familiarity with current teacher certification and Michigan Department of Education requirements

Responsibilities – Essential Functions:

  • Support accreditation review process
  • Edit and update websites using a content management system
  • Create and edit documents and forms
  • Assist with data collection
  • Analyze data and create reports
  • Assist faculty with online assessment and advising tools
  • Serve as a liaison for Administrative Services at meetings
  • Schedule meetings and make arrangements
  • Order supplies and track expenditures
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary: $20/ hour 

Hours: 15 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday (flexible schedule 5 months in duration)
