Adjunct AP Social Justice Educator/Coordinator - Inclusion and Equity Allendale
This is an adjunct position that receives Adjunct EAP benefits. It is set for two years, with contract renewal dependent on funding. Housed within the Division of Inclusion and Equity at Grand Valley State University (GVSU), the Social Justice Education Office seeks a dynamic, visionary, and collaborative leader to serve as its Social Justice Educator/Coordinator. Located in the Greater Grand Rapids area, Grand Valley State University offers high quality programs and state-of-the-art facilities and attracts more than 25,000 students from across the country and around the world. The mission of the Division of Inclusion and Equity is to advance GVSU's social justice framework for equity and inclusion. The division coordinates sustainable and strategic institutional efforts to engage all members of the community while also intentionally supporting and advocating for historically underrepresented communities. The division's work furthers the university's liberal education and student-centered mission. In the spirit of this mission, the Social Justice Education Office seeks a Social Justice Educator/Coordinator who will support the coordination of training and education for students, faculty, and staff. Assistant Professor of Sociology and Environmental Studies - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Allendale
Grand Valley State University. The Department of Sociology and the Environmental Studies program at GVSU seek candidates for an assistant professor, tenure track academic year position, with specialization in Environmental Sociology to begin August 6, 2019. Ph.D. in Sociology or related field with specialization in Environmental Sociology. ABD candidates will be considered for a two year contract with provision that your Ph.D. must be completed by December 2020. Substantive focus on water resources and issues preferred. Applicants should expect to teach courses on Environmental Sociology and Social Problems as well as courses in the Environmental Studies program. This is a joint appointment with Environmental Studies, with Sociology as the primary department, and part of a growing community of collaborative scholars focused on water issues and society. Affiliate Faculty - Biomedical Sciences (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) Allendale
This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track renewable position. We are seeking someone to teach anatomy and/or physiology undergraduate courses. Affiliate faculty teach between 12 to 15 contact hours per semester, often a mixture of laboratory and lecture courses. The initial appointment for is for one-year beginning fall 2019, followed by a possible second year appointment in 2020. Thereafter, affiliate faculty are eligible for continuously renewable three-year contracts.

Assistant Professor (Geospatial Ecologies/Watershed Modeler) - Annis Water Resources Institute Muskegon
The Robert B. Annis Water Resources Institute (AWRI) of Grand Valley State University is seeking a geospatial ecologist/watershed modeler to complement the existing Faculty and Principal Investigators at AWRI. A Ph.D. is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated record of: conducting quality research; obtaining extramural funding for research and publishing findings in the peer-reviewed scientific literature; ability to teach graduate courses in field of expertise; and desire to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. Teaching responsibilities include advanced courses in the applicant’s area of expertise. Faculty members also advise undergraduate and graduate students, serve on academic committees, and perform community service. This is a 12-month, tenure-track position with benefits.
