Summary: Grand Valley State is a masters-at-large, liberal arts college with just over 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students housed on two campuses in Allendale and Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Health and Physical Education Teacher Education program is contained within the Movement Science Department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Health Education and Physical Education teaching endorsement.
  • Master’s degree in Physical Education, Health Education, or related field.
  • The committee is seeking experienced teachers and demonstrated excellence in teaching health and physical education to elementary-age students.

Responsibilities:

The responsibility of this position will be to teach classroom courses related to:

  • Health and Physical Education to pre-service elementary education majors
  • Additional Health and Physical Education courses
  • Student-teacher supervision based on experience

Salary: $40,000. Initially a one-year appointment, with the possibility of two further one-year renewals to a maximum of three years.
