Summary: Grand Valley State University is accepting applications for a registered nurse with experience in quality improvement, or occupational health, to serve as the Health Compliance Officer with the University Health Compliance Office. The Health Compliance Officer will provide day to day leadership for the GVSU Health Compliance Program, develop and implement processes to facilitate student and faculty health compliance and provide oversight of 3rd party vendors.

Required Qualifications and Education:
- Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in program planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with capacity to learn new software systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing or health related field
- Knowledge of immunization guidelines for healthcare workers
- Experience in occupational health and/or risk management
Responsibilities – Essential Functions:
- Leads day to day health compliance activities.
- Develops and implements processes to facilitate student and faculty health compliance with affiliation agreements.
- Oversee 3rd party vendors including, but not limited to, system set up, maintenance of accurate cohort lists, issue resolution and tracking.
- Collaborates with health/health related programs to identify appropriate health compliance elements for faculty and students.
- Conducts audits and provides education regarding health compliance requirements to faculty and students, including attendance at orientation sessions and conducting office hours at various campus locations.
- Reviews and follows up on health compliance results as required.
- Collaborates with team to conduct annual review and updates for policies, procedures, and training modules to ensure consistency with state and federal guidelines.
- Supervises assigned staff including oversight of work and performance evaluations.
- Promotes professionalism, confidentiality, cooperation and good working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and clinical practice sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: $64-67,000 (commensurate with experience)
