Grand Valley State University seeks an Affiliate Professor in Special Education beginning August 2021. This non-tenure track faculty member will help serve graduate and undergraduate students pursuing careers in special education. Applicants must have a Master’s in Special Education or closely related field; terminal degree preferred. Additionally, applicants must have: demonstrated ability to teach courses related to students with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbance, intellectual disability, and/or learning disability; a record of successful teaching or school-based experience at the K-12 level with students with disabilities; and demonstrated potential for teaching at the university level. The Occupational Safety and Health Department within Grand Valley State University’s Seymour and Esther Padnos College of Engineering and Computing invites applications for an Affiliate Faculty position; at GVSU, an Affiliate Faculty position is a full-time teaching position that is renewable every one to three years. This position will support the Occupational Safety and Health Management (OSHM) program with emphasis on internship development and student internship supervision, laboratory development and supervision, and instruction of courses in the program. The start date is fall 2021. The position will foster the continued growth and development of the OSHM program and maintenance of ABET accreditation. This program yields job-ready, as well as graduate-school ready, graduates in support of the diversified regional industries. The OSHM program is supported by its own laboratory in a facility in the Eberhard Center in downtown Grand Rapids as well as by access to the industrial-grade engineering laboratories.

The teaching assignment for the 2021-22 academic year will be four courses per semester and may include: WGS 200 Introduction to Gender Studies; WGS 224 Introduction to LGBTQ Studies; WGS 255 Gender and Popular Culture; and WGS 491 Contemporary Theory and Practicum. The Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations will develop, direct, and manage a comprehensive stewardship program that strengthens donor ties to the institution. This position will oversee acknowledgment and report production and expand the depth and impact of the stewardship program, managing stewardship efforts to support relationships between key personnel and development officers to formulate and execute best-in-class stewardship activities effectively and consistently across the university. Grand Valley State University seeks candidates for the role of Vice President for University Development and Executive Director of the Grand Valley University Foundation (referred to hereafter as “Vice President”). The Vice President reports directly to the President and is an integral part of the President's Senior Leadership Team. The Vice President is responsible for visioning and leading the university’s comprehensive fundraising efforts, ensuring alignment with mission and strategy, advancing a culture of philanthropy, and executing against short and long-term objectives in an evolving and growing organization.
