Visiting Faculty - Communication Studies (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) Allendale
The School of Communications at Grand Valley State University is seeking an effective teacher and speech coach to join the faculty of the Communication Studies major. This is a Visiting Assistant Professor position (non-tenure track) to begin Fall 2021. The Communication Studies major places a premium on the abilities and skills of the applicant to successfully contribute to and complement the strong teaching of the current faculty within a range of communication courses. Communication Resources Specialist - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Allendale

Assistant for Athletics Compliance - Intercollegiate Athletics (Finance & Administration Division) Allendale
The Assistant for Athletics Compliance will assist the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance in the coordination of a comprehensive compliance program and the day-to-day operation of the Compliance Office to ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference and University policies and procedures. This is a 20 hour/week and 10-month position (39 weeks).
Men’s Water Polo Club Head Coach - Recreation and Wellness Allendale
The Head Coach is responsible for the supervision, planning, and organization of all practices, execution of in-game leadership and strategy, as well as providing mentorship of student-athletes. The Head Coach is expected to travel to all home and away competitions. This position will work closely with the team’s Executive Board members and Recreation & Wellness personnel. This position is part-time with an annual stipend of $5,000, with transportation and lodging for away events provided by the team. The season is typically September through October. The GVSU Men’s Water Polo program is a member of the Great Lakes Division of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA). The program made 10 straight National Tournament appearances between 2007-2017, making 6 Final Four appearances, finishing runner-up in 2012 and 2013, and winning a National Championship in 2011. The club has 250 wins over the last decade. This position is part time and not eligible for benefits.
Visiting Faculty - Graphic Design - Visual Media and Arts (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) Allendale
The Department of Visual and Media Arts at Grand Valley State University, located in Allendale, MI (www.gvsu.edu/vma) invites applicants for a Visiting Professor position in the Graphic Design emphasis area, beginning August 2021. This is a 1-year, full-time, teaching-focused position, with the possibility of renewal for 2 more years. As a community of educators, artists, and scholars, the Department of Visual and Media Arts values the examination of the world through diverse cultural discourses which inform pedagogy and scholarship, and diverse forms of collaboration with university, local, and regional communities. We seek a candidate committed to being excellent in undergraduate teaching and students’ career-connectedness. The chosen candidate will help support GVSU’s student-centered mission and the institution’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Visiting Faculty - Physics - (College Liberal Arts and Sciences) Allendale
The Physics department is looking to hire an individual who will be the instructor of record for 12 contact hours per week of introductory physics courses comprised of lectures, discussion sections, and labs. Teaching during spring or summer terms is not required, but such a teaching assignment may be possible, for additional compensation. The appointment is for one full year but may be renewed annually for an additional two years. The salary is competitive with regional peer institutions.

Temporary Part-time Security Staff - Department of Public Safety Services Allendale
Responsible for patrolling buildings, grounds and parking areas; traffic control; enforcing rules and regulations established by the university; completing reports, responding to emergencies; and assisting students, faculty, staff and visitors with daily safety needs. This is a part-time position with no more than 29 hours a week. This is a non-benefit eligible position.
