Summary: Grand Valley State University’s Office of the Vice Provost for Health is accepting applications for registered nurse to serve as COVID Assessment Team Nurse. The COVID Assessment Team Nurse is part of a team of nurses responsible for the administrative processes related to contacting individuals who have submitted a COVID-19 self-assessment with a positive response. This is a temporary part-time position and has no benefits.
Required Qualifications and Education:
- Registered nurse
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities – Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the administrative processes related to contacting individuals, via phone or email, who have submitted a COVID-19 self-assessment with a positive response.
- Documentation of each contact following GVSU guidelines
- Tracking for follow up responses
- Provide education to students, faculty and staff regarding COVID protocols
- Coordination and collection of self-administered COVID tests
- Promote professionalism, confidentiality, cooperation and good working relationships with faculty, staff and students,
- Other duties as assigned.
The COVID Assessment Team Nurse position is a temporary part time position. This position will be required to be on campus periodically.
Salary: Hourly rate of $30 per hour
